I've decided on the touristy stuff im going to do before my mum and sister come over in a few weeks, two day trips one up north and one down south. i'll give you guys more details as i actually do them but one involves Sand boarding which sounds really cool! and the other a 70 meter high tree top canopy walk which sounds cool too! Alas i wont be getting any higher than that because sky diving and hot air ballooning is like 450 bucks a go! screw that!
Today i got the ferry across the quay to the south of Perth and had a little look around, there are some awesome little parks which i sunbathed and read my book in, the boat ride itself was really cool because you could see these really weird looking jellies just floating in the water, some of them where really big, like 10 inches across! kinda gross though.
i don't think i could of looked anymore like a tourist if i had of tried today! i had my camera, my sunnies, my hat all was good, i went to Perth Zoo for a look at the animals that i would get a chance to see anywhere else and it was really cool, i arrived late but still caught feeding time for the Koalas and bath time for the Indian elephants, one was so cute it was doing a dance lol! i saw loads of cool animals but most of them were sleeping :( (it was like 39 degrees and 3 pm so if i hadn't have been watching them sleep i would've been doing the same) The kangaroos were cool, one licked my hand and i got scared so run off lol (it was an open enclosure to walk around) some kind of Wetland bird got in a fight with me, flew right on over and got all flappy in my grill, cheek! Koalas were definitely the coolest bit though, so cute. and apparently my trip up north includes a koala sanctuary tour so fingers crossed ill get to hold one of those cuddly balls of fur...then pass it back before it rips a chunk out my arm...note to self- refrain from using the moisturizer with eucalyptus extract...draws attention from them....
anyways, im going to have a quite day tomorrow because i've had a constant headache for about 2/3 days now, possibly mild sunstroke so a day in the shade and lots of water, then after that im probably going to the national park in west Perth.
talk to you then! x
